BOWL OF HEAVEN 1-3
From Gregory Benford (Timescape) and Larry Niven (Ringworld) comes a thrilling, hard science fiction series, Bowl of Heaven, that follows a human expedition to another star system that's suddenly interrupted by a gigantic artifact floating in interstellar space. The bowl-shaped structure engulfs an entire star, and has a habitable area equivalent to many millions of Earths. This alien structure, or Shipstar, just so happens to be on a direct path heading toward the same system the human ship is meant to colonize.
